Stewardess Board
“Christian Women with a Heart for God working in and out of God’s Holy Place.”
Stewardess Boards I and II are under the direction of the Pastor and are responsible for the caring of the Altar. The work of the Stewardess is a sacred trust, and calls for women who are consecrated to the task, and who are willing to place love for Christ above personal feelings. It calls for women who are willing to work in the background, without recognition or praise, for the most successful among its members is the one who is most self-effacing and inconspicuous in her work.
Services, Activities, and Programs
¨ Oversee the holy sacraments and assist Pastor and communicants during Holy Communion services
¨ Assist with receiving those who accept the Lord when the invitation is extended
¨ Accompany the Pastor and Stewards to administer Holy Communion to the sick and shut-in
¨ Prepare altar for baptisms and assist Pastor with ceremony
¨ Comfort bereaved family members during funeral services
¨ Attend special services as assigned
