On Sunday, September 28th we celebrated our Friends and Family Sunday, and the inaugural "Kickoff Sunday" of the newly formed Men's Ministry. Each member of the Men's Ministry was encouraged to wear the jersey of their favorite sports team (while some of the ladies happily joined in). The Fame Choir blessed us with God's Word through song.

Rev. George (aka #54 of 'da Chicago Bears) continued his sermonic series on the upcoming presidential, and local elections, preaching from the Gospel of St. Matthew. He reminded us that we must get involved, exercise wisdom and pray for God's guidance when we choose our national, and local leaders. Indeed, we sometimes focus so much on the national election that we forget that it's our local leaders who impact our lives the most!

After the worship service we gathered for fellowship and a wonderful meal prepared by our Hospitality committee.
