Church School

Some of these sessions have been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Mission:  To teach God's Word by precept and example so that

all may be led by the Holy Spirit to Jesus Christ and fulfill

God's purpose.

"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts

them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on

the rock."

~Matthew 7:24

The FAME Church School meets each Sunday from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM.  The curriculum from Urban Ministries Inc. (UMI), provides the biblical foundation for our classes and allows every age to study the same passage through an age appropriate lesson. Because we value God’s Word we promote Scripture memorization in each class. We invite you to join us today!

Preschool Class

Ages: 2-5

Class Description:

The Preschool Class is designed to provide a loving, welcoming environment

for introducing children to God’s love. Through arts and crafts, movement, song and scripture the aim is to model God’s love, introduce God as the Creator of all things and invite children to know Jesus as their Savior.

Primary Class

Grades: K – 2nd

Class Description:

The Primary Class emphasizes Jesus. Students learn about the life of Jesus

and are encouraged to follow Jesus’ example of loving God with all their heart, soul and mind and to love others as Jesus loves us. Students explore what it means to accept Jesus into their hearts and how to develop faith and belief that nothing is impossible for Christ.

Juniors Class

Grades 3-5

Class Description:

The Junior Class focuses on the promises of God and the importance of faith.

Students explore WHO AM I and why does God love me. They are encouraged to identify their gifts and how to use them for God, at home, school, church and in the community. Each year students are involved in a community service project.

Middle School Class

Grades: 6-8

Class Description: The FIFE class spotlights the Bible. Students begin to identify the books

of the Old and New Testaments and how to navigate the Bible for themselves. Students are

encouraged to adopt an active prayer life, both talking to and listening to God, and a personal

quiet time. Classes are dedicated to gaining a Biblical understanding of the significance of

Christmas and Easter and how to share the Gospel of Christ.

High School Class

Grades: 9-12

Class Description: The High School class challenges students through the curriculum and outside materials to apply God’s Word to their lives. Students are inspired to look at the world around them and develop a “God View” of themselves and the culture in which they live.  Students are invited to bring topics and issues from their lives in order to examine them under the microscope of God’s Word. Ultimately, students must realize that they are sinners in need of a Savior and claim Jesus as their Lord!

Encounter Group

Facilitator: Frances Carr

Ages: Adult- High School graduates and up

Class Description:

Started over 40 years ago, the Encounter Group focuses on the study of the

Bible, Old and New Testaments, putting into context the relevance of history, culture, social beliefs and religious customs of that time. Discussions, often led by members of the class, center on how the study can be integrated with our daily living and challenges. Other books, illustrations, materials, personal sharing and guest presenters all point toward personal growth, spiritual development and building a lasting relationship with God and His Son Jesus Christ.

Senior Adult Class

Teacher: Moses Luyombya

Ages: Senior Adults

Class Description:

The Senior Adult Class enjoys a vibrant examination of God’s Word through the usage of the UMI Curriculum. Each quarter focuses on a theme broken down into three units. Topical themes include concepts like: Jesus’ Fulfillment of Scripture, The People of God Set Priorities, and Sustaining Hope. The curriculum study is complimented by vibrant discussion and life application that results from the faith walk of the class’s students. Participants are enriched through study, fellowship, and the sweetness of the presence of the Holy Spirit in their midst.
